PLEA TO VETERAN MOVEMENT MEMBERS:
SHARE YOUR MEMENTOS AND DOCUMENTS WITH THE INSTITUTE!

Sadly, the pioneer generation of members of the Jabotinsky Movement and Betar and fighters of the Etzel and Lehi Underground, is steadily dissipating. Only a precious few remain who actually saw Ze’ev Jabotinsky in person or heard him speak. Surely these individuals have collected documents such as letters, certificates, photos, and newspapers that recount experiences from the days and years before the establishment of the State of Israel.

Neither the “veterans” nor their families may realize the great value that these personal mementos hold towards the research of the Jabotinsky Movement-- and towards preserving the legacy of these individual men and women for posterity. Nor do they always know what holds interest to the researcher and the public, or what deserves to be saved or discarded.

The executive of the Jabotinsky Institute has determined to make a sincere plea to all those who were once members or activists in the Jabotinsky Movement and its extensive institutions and activities, in Israel or throughout the globe, to offer their old- historical- personal documents and mementos for preservation in the Jabotinsky Institute Archives.

The Archives will handle this material with professional, loving hands. They will sort and classify the material for present and future generations of researchers. Yet it is not just the material that will be preserved–the contributors themselves will assume their places in the annuals of history.

If you are in possession of pertinent letters, photos, personal diaries, newspaper clippings from the past, postcards or certificates, kindly contact Jabotinsky Institute Archive director Amira Stern without delay! Ms. Stern will give you full instructions on how to transfer the documents, and how the Archives will preserve and display them.
Amira Stern can be reached by phone at 972-3-6210619 or by e-mail at
